S/O TO THE PEOPLE WHO THOUGHT YOU WERE ABOUT TO DOWNLOAD THE PROJECT .. IT COMES OUT TOMORROW .. 1.24

It’s been a minute since The Reminder .. I’m definitely excited to give y’all my next piece of work.

If you didn’t know, my new project, Maintaining drops tomorrow the 24th. It’s been a long time coming but we finally here! I promise to never leave y’all for that long again .. haaaa. Big shout out to Dub Caesar for holding me down and supporting this project.

On this joint I kept the features limited. Even though you won’t hear from Cordell, Cool or White on this one, they’re still around and everybody is still cool. My man Damani got the opportunity to shine on two songs .. “Sunroof” and “Manager” which are two of my favorites on the project. Also featured is Ground Up, some homies of my from the Philly and Baltimore areas. For production I went to Sling Lord, Modurn Marvles, Jusmuziq and the homie MAK.

I love my team and all of my supporters. I’m doing this for y’all really .. Definitely for myself too but I know I’m representing more than myself and I appreciate all the love we’ve been getting over here.

When it drops tomorrow, tell a friend to tell a friend to tell a friend to tell his mama that Maintaining is oooooooouuuuuuuut.

✙MEET: Jade Alston

Do yourself a favor and get familiar with this artist .. like right now. Her name is Jade Alston, she’s from Philly and she’s ready. I got the opportunity to see her perform at the last Intern Showcase in Philly and I know for sure that I was watching a future star .. when you know, you know. I don’t usually predict the future but .. In a couple years I guarantee that she’ll be in the running for your favorite songstress.

Now. What I’m going to say next is a very bold but honest evaluation of her talent and personality:

While listening to her sing and watching her perform, I hear the soft tone and delivery of Toni Braxton, the storytelling of Marsha Ambrosius and the authenticity/likability of Aaliyah.

It’s actually crazy how good she sounds. My favorite track on her new project, Single On A Saturday Night is definitely the intro, “Single On A Saturday Night” .. by far. A smooth, catchy joint that gives you an image of a sexy, single lady dancing in front of a mirror, getting ready to go out.

Everybody that I introduce to her music always has the same confused, disgusted face. And it’s always for two reasons: 1) – they like what they hear and 2) – they can’t figure out who she sounds like. That’s what will make her great in the end, her individuality.
