I’m liking these bad boys. It makes D-Wade look like a deadlier assassin and it makes LeBron look like an eviler villain; I love it. Everybody was counting them out last year and they rode the hatred all the way to the NBA Finals, losing expectedly to the Dallas Dirks. I want them to come out with a vengeance this season and unleash their full potential. There’s a chemistry between LeBron and Wade that’s waiting to erupt and I feel like ’tis the season. Buckle up.

two Sundays ago I had planned on going to see so Ground Up perform at the Hard Rock Cafe in downtown Philly. if you never heard anything from them, check out groundupsounds.com and peep some of their music. so I’m at the crib working on new music when Killgore hits me up and asks if I wanna open up for Ground Up since a group cancelled at the last minute. I’m like uuummmmm… HELL YEA! I only had about 45 minutes to get my sh*t together and get down to Hard Rock. but it worked out. my man Damani came along for the ride and blessed the stage with me. the crowd definitely wasn’t ready for an artist like me but I gave them a good show regardless!

def was in the back “eating like kings” after the show lol.

s/o to Killgore off his Columbo tip:

all in all, everything was gravy that night. got to finally link with the entire ground up team. be on the look out for a Mazon x Ground Up collab coming real soon! till then, enjoy this video for “No Thanks” off their latest project, The Get Down.

“The number one killer of African American women aged 15 to 34 is not cancer, not car wrecks, but dying at the hands of “loved ones.”
